I do NOT need a two week diversity course to teach me how not to be nasty to people who are different from me. That is just a question of good manners. What I probably do need is a two week course to teach me how to manage in the industry that has grown up around the diversity agenda. Still; if I have committed any sins in the past, which I am sure I haven’t, sitting in a “workshop” being shouted at by black youths all day about how unpleasant the police in London are, is bound to improve my attitude to “hard to reach groups” isn’t it? I mean, if we as a police service want to “reach out” to a group to explain our side of things, don’t we sit them down and shout at them all day? No? You mean this wouldn’t work with the Parish Council? Then why is it acceptable as a training strategy for us? As usual, you can’t complain or you get labelled as “resistant to change” or some such nonsense. The public would have a fit if they knew about this…. sorry, am I allowed to say “have a fit”? Probably not.

Would you believe I saw a certain UK force advertise a job for “Diversity Director” last year, salary circa 80k………………………………
In my (admittedly limited) experience of police officers, you only have a reason to dislike them if you are breaking the law. OK, so being caught speeding can be very irritating, but then again, it’s a fair cop. Those who break the law regularly seem to get rather annoyed at the people they see trying to stop them.
The reason these people are shouting at you is because you are most likely cramping their style. Their ’style’ happens to be carrying out petty annoyances such as graffiti, littering, shouting, petty theft and generally making themselves a damn nuisence.
I’ve caused a diversity crisis in my force.
We’ve got those chairs that have a small writing tablet attached. All I did was mention that 20% (rough guess) of the population are left handed, so 20% of the chairs should have the tablet on the left, instead of all of them being on the right.
I suspect there will be a high level meeting to discuss this issue later today.
Sorry Stan, but we are ahead of you on this one in my force. The writing tables can be taken off and attached to either side. Someone must have the job of doing this, but not until a risk assessment has been done ofcourse!
Diversity industry…! in the 5 years or so since the ‘d’ word became all important in the police force [or uniformed branch of social services as we now are] this dept.has grown from having a pc nominated as a diversity officer within their BCU [aswell as having other roles] to there being a diversity manager/sgt.at BCU level supervising 3 diversity pc’s. There is a force diversity manager and soon to be a diversity inspector. Meanwhile numbers on response are falling. Guess where the hierarchies priorities lie.
I believe it’s about 10% – 9% female, 11% male.
Just wait till you have to evidence your diversity each year under national occupational standard 1A5. Possibly the biggest pile of bureaucratic nonsense ever devised. My force is apparently the first to introduce it and I have yet to meet anyone (apart from bosses) that either understands it or can see what useful purpose it is likely to achieve. Absolute rubbish.
I can’t be bothered at the moment with this, though why is it that I am always the last one to respond? I will have to find time to respond when I can find some inspiration.
I am so drained by diversity that I have no useful comment to offer. I literally cannot stand the constant pounding of the diversity drum. How I remember sitting down to a double long session discussing the issues in groups at Ashford. Considering a story line of how a ficitional character’s life had been ruined by somebody having an ignorance of diversity issues. Now when asked about diversity I have a variety of reactions including “SIGH” “SHRUG” and “HMMM” (whilst looking thoughtful).
“The public would have a fit if they knew about this…. sorry, am I allowed to say “have a fit”? Probably not.”
Your posts just make me laugh so much! Stan Still – another hilarious comment!
I flipped a couple of years ago when forced on to a 2 day ‘initial’ diversity course I had already endured, but had to do again as the HR unit hadn’t entered the details on the personnel computer system. I had this idiot who had already ‘boasted’ that his daughter’s childminder was a veil wearing muslim lady – as if that fact alone made him a perfect human being. The highlight came when in the space of two hours this man, and his assistant (not Debbie McGhee and Not employed by the pleece) tried to tell us we were all potential death camp guards if we didn’t appreciate what they were trying to impart. They actually attempted to equate the Nazi’s massively industrialized genocide programme to the concerns that many British citizens had with multi-culturism. Such views of course receiving support from some surprising quarters -e.g. Jack Straw and other Nu Labourites and now the Archbishop of York. Unbelievably patronising! The day ended early when it became clear that these two ‘political officers’ clearly had no real grasp of history, and were less qualified than many of their audience to discuss these matters, as their constant untruths and sheer lies were constantly challenged by us. After the recent pronouncements on multi-culturalism from members of the establishment very recently, especially the call today from a senior Muslim representative group to ‘leave Christmas alone’, their awful little world must be in some turmoil. Frankly they are bores, and I always question the motives of those who take on such ‘adviser’ roles.
All this training and talking and recognising our own prejudices and what it really comes down too is ‘Hey, we’re all different, don’t be an a*se about it. Life’s too short.’
Still, no one ever got promoted by not introducing policy.
I think the problem is that there are people in the service who could use diversity training, it’s just that most forces go about it completely the wrong way.
I can see the value in encouraging empathy and broadening horizons, but I don’t think I’ve been to a diversity session yet that was anything other than a tick-box session for people who get paid more than I do…
I dunno what you’re complaining about, I thoroughly enjoyed my last diversity training session… especially at lunchtime, when the male Muslim met the crossdresser and a full-blown argument ensued between them.
Of course (as we’d learned only that morning), we had to respect their views so instead of stepping in we let them get on with it. It was most entertaining!
its a real pisser that treating people properly has had to become an industry. there are racists and sexists and homophobes and plenty of other sorts of bigots and bullies in all walks of life, including the police, and they need challenging. this just isn’t the right way to go about it. all it does is alienate people and make them defensive which totally defeats the object.
My diversity course consisted in part of three black youths talking/shouting/demanding at me in a local ethnic centre, recounting to me stories of police picking (Its arrasment innit) on them all the time. Afer more ‘conversation’ back it transpired that the Police had stopped them regularly between 3 and 5am and often searched them. (This being done in a high crime/high burglary hotspot) I couldn’t get them to understand the obvious reasons to why they had been stopped (ie the above and them being out at such a time/prevention of crime etc..), they could not see past their world and the reasons why the police have stopped them in the past.
After having had the most frustrating afternoon in the police our trainer then was telling us how we, the police, are all racist, bullies and facists and out to pick on youths, including her own son. The most pointless method of training I’ve ever had, and in fact I can honestly say that it did more harm than good for me, but I also suspect to the youths who were also involved.
Oh and to finish, it turned out that one of the youths who had turned up to spend the afternoon telling us we’re all facists was in fact wanted, and was nicked two days later. Also turns out our trainers son who had been ‘picked on’ by the police had actually been arrested and charged for an offence (Can’t remember what it was now)
Diversity has to be one of the biggest blocks within the police, I tutored a specail once who had recieved 5 weekends of training (One weekend on crime, four weekends on diversity).
There will always be racist cops, bullies, facists, those with radical views, (just like in the rest of society – teachers/judges/factory workers/unemployed etc etc….) but these are the very very very minority of cops, I can honestly say i don’t think I have ever come across one, and that most cops are there to do the best they can to help the community and the public at large. Let the police police, and the results will start to become apparent
We have all these awful posters around my station – ‘ we’re all in one race – the human race’ etc ad nauseam.
In fact – see here: http://www.allposters.com/-st/Diversity-Posters_c12920_s52985_.htm
People have started to cover them up with sensible posters (Proceeds of crime etc) and it really annoys the bosses….
Hey all, I have to say I have some inspiration now. OK, crucify me if you must for what I am about to say. Racists do exist in the organisation. And there may be a minority but nonetheless they do exist. If they are in positions of power they can make the life of Black members of staff hell. They bully, and it is difficult to challenge them. But like I say the majority of colleagues I don’t think are racist, yes they may not understand the nuances and beliefs of cultures and customs, but all that is asked I guess, is they respect these differences and don’t take the “mickey.” The majority of colleagues I feel do treat Black people with dignity.
But there is a problem and that problem is how Black people were treated in the past by our colleagues from the past. That experience hangs on. Then there is the experience of the NHS and Social Services and others that treat Black people quite badly.
Then there is institutional racism. Let me give you an example of how this works. The bosses have put everyone on race and diversity training; the bosses have ticked a box, so if anyone is caught out, then the bosses can say, “yes we trained them.” The fact is, the bosses are immune to this same training, they don’t think they need it, and they bloody well do all they can to get off of it. They are effortlessly superior. Yet when you look at the way in which they interact with Black members of staff, it is ooh so! Yes that’s institutional all right.
And what about the training managers that pursue this ineffective training? Yep, you guessed it, they are protected, not sacked. Then there is the CRE, I have met some right quango’s in the CRE who do not even understand racism, yet these are the people giving advice. Yes, we have a false industry.
Then there is the diversity officer. Is this person’s job to save the organisation or to get to the truth and deal with race equality? My guess is they protect the organisation, so they are not diversity officer’s but staff officer’s.
I have seen some poor training up and down the country. Attitudes are a personal thing and we can only get people to reflect on attitudes. There is nothing new in stereotypes, we work by them, we cannot survive without them, but ask any colleague whether they stereotype and they will probably say no cos they is scared!
Where was I? Ah yes, I thought race training was about understanding one’s own values and behaviour and why someone else’s might be different and then coming to a compromise. I though it was about accepting the other as opposed to tolerating the other. I have supported a Black colleague that was bullied. He went to tribunal. He was bullied, of this there was no doubt. The Black colleague was moved to another shift. We asked the new Team leader to hold issues in confidence. What did they do? They called the Sergeant that had received the complaint and forewarned them, so they lied to us. They demeaned our trust.
In tribunal the “bullying Sergeant” said he was called and informed by the other Sergeant. The other Sergeant denied making the call. Yeah right! If we really want to move forwards we have to educate, forgive, and move on, but if we are in denial, how can we educate? I am going now because I always write the last damn entry and Gadget never says anything to me.
Thanks very much for all your comments old boy, can I use them in a special chapter in my book?
Sources close to me have suggested that the Met alone spent 278 MILLIONS pounds on diversity training last year…. what a waste of money.
My last training session had a quiet few minutes when I stood up and declared that in no way shape or form was I biased, I hate everyone equally!
I now refuse to go, stuff them, when I get a complaint about my attitude based on some ism and it’s proved then they can hang me.
Twining, I have not seen any evidence of my colleagues being racist in my nick, not that I am disputing you are right.
To be quite honest if there was bullying in my nick to anyone let alone of a racist nature it would NOT be tolerated, so I am amazed that this is the case elsewhere. Your own blog is most interesting but the inability to leave any comments is unusual.
the biggest diversity issue in the UK is the anti working class prejudice still prelevant in so much of society
the politically correct crowd are some of the worst for talking down to folk for having working class accents or council estate roots
you only have to look at the comedy on the BBC to see Little Britain etc taking the Mickey out of such folk
so many jobs are still held by the self selecting public school crew
so much business now setup to deal with the work concerning the politically correct agenda, sad waste of national resources most of it, and still many prejudices such as the anti working class ones are still alive and well
Don’t you sometimes wonder if the BNP/Ku Klux Klan sets all these divsrsity courses up precisely to make white people pissed off with Other? Being patronised or used as a verbal punchball for an afternoon when you’ve got a thousand things that you’re contracted to do waiting for you can cause the most accepting, courteous supporter of Equality and Diversity (”for all” – how come I only ever see white people at these courses?) to rush out and buy a pointy cotton hat.
Twining mentions that old favourite insitutional racism. This is still going strong but now it seems to be led by the establishments misinformed efforts to do good.
For example; In my force (and I’m sure many if not all others) a job may be identified as racially motivated. I won’t patronise you by listing obvious examples. Yet often every day crime and incidents such as burglary and youth disorder comes back to the officer dealing with that dreaded question ‘is this incident racially motivated?’ The problem is, and I DO speak from experience, that two like crimes on the same street may take place in one day, Mr Smith at 51 and Mr singh at 72 are both burgled but guess which crime comes back with the question? Even though it may be Mr Smith who is in the minority in his area and even though diversity training repeatedly tells us not to make assumptions based on anything as flimsy as a bloody name!
I even had an unwitnessed theft of a sink come back with that question! My answer..’There is no evidence the offenders were aware of the victims ethnicity at the time of the theft of the abandoned sink from his backyard.’
So there we are digging another big bloody hole with good intentions and bad information.
I remember reading once about a woman who claimed that sexual harrassment had actually increased in her company after the staff had been on a sexual harrassment awareness course.
Apparrently it had brought the topic to the fore and male colleagues now knew exactly how far they could go within in the law.
I believe that, in some cases, this ‘training’ actually re-inforces and maintains the divisions rather than helps overcome them.
Just a thought that keeps occuring to me every time this issue raises its head – why are Equality and Diversity always mentioned in the same breath?
I thought equality was all about treating people the same irrespective of race, creed, colour, ethnicity etc, and diversity was about treating people differently, respecting their differences.
Or is it me?
Diversity in my Force means that although I can ride a motorcycle and want to go onto the bike unit – the only officers who can get an attachment to the unit are female or from an ethnic minority; likewise Firearms and and specialist posts. When are Senior Management going to wake-up and realise that they can’t make up for the mistakes of the past by social engineering in the present.
I presume it’s because £80K Diversity Officers have found a cheap and effortless way of ticking the box that says “I have Done Something About It and claim my £5K annual bonus.”
I embrace Diversity, I have decided the best way is to Hate everyone, that way they all get treated the same….or have I got the wrong end of the stick…again :S
Please remember, we racists have feelings too.
NAS 1A5, its coming nationwide you know, just you wait till in drops on your doormat. Be afraid be very afraid.
Tash, I like the name Twining, what do you think. As in do you like my name too? You are right. The services lack of understanding leads to ums and ars, and policies. The establishment is the institution. Anyway is my name OK. Mr Gadget on this blog I have not seen anything racist. God bless all the officer’s that do a good job under difficult circumstances and may God teach and educate those amongst us that might have racist tendencies. I like this blog. I even like Inspector gadget and Tash. What can we do with racists amongst us? We can sack them, and they become even more bitter or we stand up to bigotry. And guys I have a tear in my eyes when I say I like you all. Form an independent point of view I have seen Black people behave bad too. I just wish Lawrence wasn’t murdered. I just wish Nick Griffin had been sentenced and I wish I knew who Gadget was. Take care all.
Im sooo glad, and no, Im not taking the mick that you guys do this job.
Being Mr short fuse for BS, I would have walked out long ago.
Heres hoping for sensible change to policy.
Having had to ensure several diversity course while a serving Police officer and then as Police staff, I listen very carefully to what is being said and then ask, “How do you know?” “Where do you obtain your information from?” “How do you know that what you are saying is correct?” “Are you making these observations from your own knowledge and experience or quoting someone elses’s thoughts or views and, if you are, how do you know that they are not merely quoting someone else’s views?” The latter seems to have them stumped for a while before I am accused of being a racist, bigot, white supremacist or general scumbag. I then refer to my wife coming from Hong Kong, the godfather of my elder daughter being a Sikh, the godfather of my second being a Fijian and challenge the speaker to show a similar level of racial diversity. Usually, the class ends in disarray and I am summoned to the office of someone fairly high up who voices their disapproval. I then revert to my original argument and am usually told to go away and contemplate my future. Terrific fun!
Twining,
I may be being dense but I can’t work out if you’re angry amused or otherwise? Any name’s fine by me with the possible exception of Jade Goody.
oh god no not more diversity training!…can someone explain to me why in our force we MUST attend the diversity training and it will be recorded on our personal file that we have, yet when SOCAP was introduced it was a self teach package!
no need to attend any course just read a few paragraphs off the computer. of course no time would be allocated to this bobbies are expected to do it inbetween all the other crap they deal with.
so diversity courses (which we have all been to again and again) are compulsary and documented
SOCAP…self teach
well at least i can now flout the law but at least ill do it in a way that is not going to upset societys do gooders
Well you all have got quite a police state.
thought police and comissars.
Maybe you should take a leaf from other police and start dossiers on the diversity people.
Comrade Beria would have known how.
Quite coincidentally I was speaking to my Diversity Manager yesterday (I even thought about asking her if she had read the blog, but I decided against it – she may come across it in the Guardian one day I suppose). She has been in post for a year and has all the right credentials – though she is married to a male and, as far as I know, she is not disabled.
Her salary is equivalent to a chief superintendent’s and she was berating me with a sob story that officers seemed to treat her ‘like a civvy’. She had, she said, to remind them who she was and how important her grade was in the Force! Being a ‘civvy’ myself I thought I needed to bring her down to earth. I told her that police staff were there to support the core business of the force – policing. She didn’t seem to understand that. However, as she drove off in the failing afternoon light in her Porsche and I got into my ageing Fiesta, it did strike me that her career moves had been infinitely better than mine.
Tash, you make me laugh. I am just a human being. Sometimes I am amused at the poor quality training we give to colleagues. Stereotypes sometimes save our asses from being kicked, sometimes they may save colleagues from being killed, but Oh no, we can’t stereotype! Sometimes I am angry, bit not at you or anyone else here. PC SouthWest, thank you for not disbelieving me. Would you believe me if I said I have seen some incompetent Black officers take the legs of some wonderful Black officers, who have challenged the very racism inside the NBPA that the NBPA was set up to deal with. And all so they have a cushy number. This angers me. The NBPA has done some good work, but if there is racism inside it, then my view is kick it out, but it isn’t that easy. Instead colleagues that have said, “Woe you are out of order”, are sidelined, made out to be “mad” and sold as “left wing loonies,” when all they actually care about is trying to help colleagues not suffer another Blakelock. As for my own blog, I have no idea how to get the comments on it…….Help. Love makes the World go round. Some Senior Managers who are in it for themselves corrupt the very nature of our love. I am not taking the mickey out of anyone here all. Wishing you well.
Hey, my comments section now works thanks to nudges from Tash and PC Southwest! It’s almost as if you guys are related. A drink sometime guys? Be nice to me all, it is difficult as it is…..
I didn’t nudge nuffink and anyway even if I did you can’t prove it. I wanna see the CCTV. If I did it it’ll be on camera wont it? I’m going no comment in interview so you might as well charge me now.
All, we talk about diversity. A few days ago 3 Asian youths were convicted of the murder of a 15-year-old White youth in Scotland. Today I heard of a slashing by African Caribbean youth on two Asian Men in the West Midlands, and then there was what we believe the be a revenge shooting murder of a Black lad celebrating his 20th birthday, allegedly by an Asian male/gang. Then there was a drive by shooting of an Asian family’s house. The father of the murdered Black lad has called, courageously, for the stopping of these revenge attacks. What on earth is going on. is this multiculturalism, killing and injuring people that are different?
Isn’t this wonderfully titled, “all by myself again”? Are we not a big police family? Can we nopt make a difference?
“All By Myself” is right enough. I’m not in the Police Force though working in an inner-city comp I might as well be, but I’m struck by the number of people at the sharp end who all think alike and yet remain un-united because of fear of shit-stirring accusations and the consequences thereof. In the words of E.M.Forster, “Only connect”. Think what fun that could be.
Lily, I am not sure that we are un-united. Maybe we are, but fear, no. I don’t think so. I wish we were more united though. Just because the HMIC says diversity is important we deliver? But the f-in quality of what we deliver? It doesn’t help the bobby on the beat. I want to be able to tell the bobby how to pick out and sense tensions. I want to be able to gauge what new communites are coming in and where? And who is abusing them? I want to be able to find out where they are going to go out sociliaisng so I might be able to be preventative. I want to know why schools don’t engage us.
The current crop of diversity training is not about any of that. Sometimes though we have to listen to these kids. They might have a point. Their grief might be with society, but then they become involved in crime. Then we deal with them.
Some also become victims of murder. If anyone tells me that the average PC does not care about preventing hate, then I won’t believe you.
I believe they do care, but it is the tick box mentality that is so wrong that puts them off. There are many institutions, and the way these instiutions deal with minority people impact on the way these people feel about us also.
The majority of responses on here have held Diversity training programmes in some degree of contempt. But how many people have actually said “I think this is counter-productive/wrong-headed/waste of time and money” to the provider? And why not?
All, I would just like to let you know that I am in serious trouble for airing my views on the lack of focus of hate training such that it might be moving us back. Wish me luck. Some support would be good. God bless.
How do your Ubermeisters know who you are? You haven’t gone and used your real name have you?
I’m very sorry, though not surprised, to read that. It’s certainly answered my question as to why the majority of people just do as they’re told in these matters.
I advised the training manager that I would not deliver diversity training for several reasons I had only initially volunteered. I saw the workshop and It was not taking us forward, it was moving us backwards to an extent. I was dutybound to say something. I await the possibility of disciplinary action. Negative comments were made about my “attitude” and “behaviour”, none of which were evidenced to me.
I am a qualified trainer, race relation’s trainer, and hold a first, and post graduate academic qualifications. I have advised another Force and received positive feedback from them in relation to race. I also advised internally on a horrendous issue of hate recently. This is all documented. I think I know what I am talking about and I care about the service and the sharp end. But because I have stepped out of line, and have not said what they wanted to hear, these are some of the consequences.
I sent an email to one of the deliverers asking why “hate crime officers” were deemed experts, they had no training; and that demeaned the role of some of us that have been abused racially through our lives, and had qualifications. I think in the email I said there have been occasions when because these “experts” had added a cut and paste generic statement that they added to hate crimes, and they were not advising further, they were not “experts.” I also said I have added to assist investigations because of this cut and paste being poor. Interestingly I imagine because I have said this they have intimated my suitability to perform my current role where I am is also now in question.
One other trainer, a skills trainer was asked to facilitate with someone who had not delivered any training to date in this. The delivery was mis-sold to the skills trainer. When you have trainers that have delivered hate crime training in your department and you use someone not qualified, what does the importance of the training. This person withdrew before I did, and they were advised they would have to deliver. Then they were advised they might have to deliver in the New Year. In the end they did not use the skills trainer for the scheduled training so I was right. The Federation are aware. Make your own mind up though folks, operationally are we all always really racist, or is it a small proportion that behave silly? And where is the problem of racism? It’s in the collusion upwards. Gadget I have sanitised this entry. Email me if you need to.
Finding your websight was like finding a needle in a haystack.

More diversity training for officers I say! I know I’m about to be as popular as a pimple on a prom queen’s nose but I design and run diversity workshops and I wanted a right to reply. I sympathise if you’ve been put though some meaningless ordeal in the name of diversity training but the principal is sound. Good diversity training should be linked to your personal development as a successful officer. It should help translates the duties of care you are mandated to follow and the best practice ideas accepted by the force into understandable and memorable behaviours that you can deploy in your work. If you leave a session without understanding yourself better and without developing useful coping and people skills then it’s been a crap session. Diversity training by shouting sounds particularly obtuse but that’s just bad training and bad training selection not bad policy.
DT – do you believe all that stuff you have just quoted?
I don’t believe that people can be taught to accept others. They either do or they don’t. Regardless of how much training or indoctrination is thrust at people, they will still have some prejudices and will still harbour thoughts and feelings that would not be acceptable.
Here’s a confession – I have prejudices! You can’t sack me for them, because I don’t advertise them and I never would. You could send me on a diversity course every week for the rest of my service, but I guarantee that those prejudices will still remain. It’s human nature.
I find it patronising to be told how to behave. I have a strong moral code of my own and it has served me well for a long, long time. These diversity courses make me feel like I’m being punished for something that someone else has done. If I exhibit signs of a lack of respect for diversity, then send me on a course (for what it’s worth) – otherwise, leave me to get on with the job.
By the way, as part of the promotion process, I have to provide evidence of a respect for race and diversity, Failure in this competency area means a fail overall. Having passed both Sergeant and Inspector processes, I think I have shown that I know what I am doing when I talk and deal with people.
I’m sure you are very good at what you do DT, but it is my opinion that forces could use their training budget far more effectively by teaching officers about new laws and procedures that are thrust upon us by this government. I’m still waiting to learn about the Fraud Act, which is of more use to me than being taught that I am a member of an oppressive majority.
You just don’t get it do you. All those poor D trainers have to justify their jobs or else you nasty folks would try and get them back on the mean streets where they do that nasty nasty thing called shift work. Yuch!
Next time you’re on a D course ask the D trainer a few tricky questions like, “Could you give me some real life examples to help me understand this 1A5 I have to evidence. It’s just that I don’t understand the principle of equity in the sector or moral rights not recognised in law”
PLEASE post up what they say!
BUT don’t bother asking them about AA1. They haven’t heard of it. (It’s the replacement for 1A4 and 1A5).
BUT if they are stood there in plain clothes (sorry forgot – they always are) and they start with their personal intro (don’t they love to) listen carefully for details of the new club some are openly boasting about. It’s called the ‘400′ club. It’s the daily rate paid to ex-police officer D trainers to come back and deliver D training to you. If they are late have a little patience. They might have come a long way (but not too much patience – full travel expenses are paid too).
At least some D trainers are well qualified. One even adds QBE to his corres. (Qualified By Experience —- I kid you not).
And will you all stop moaning about all those nice folks who come in and shout at you because you stop them in the streets at 3am and talk to them. They’re only doing their job too. (oops thats £150 per day + lunch.) Mind you, soon as I retire I’ll come back and shout at you for £150 per 6 hour day. Just got to figure out which minority group I’m in. Maybe instead I’ll do a teaching qualification and get some diversity qualifications as well and come back for the big 400. What! Oh no! You’re kidding! Surely not! You mean you’re standing there, getting £400 per day, telling me how I should behave, think and act AND YOU HAVEN’T GOT ANY TEACHING OR DIVERSITY QUALIFICATIONS??? Surely at least you were recruit trainers who went on to better things (sic) ——–NO – NOT EVEN THAT?
Well that’s rich. (Yep-£400 per day rich!)
No it’s not a rant at a minority or any individual in particular. Just a dig at several who have recently disappeared up their own bums! Problem is they risk taking the credibility of D training up there with them.
